The Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has assured Michael Otedola College of Primary Education, MOCPED, of adequate support to strengthen its capacity and improve its current level of achievement.

The governor gave the assurance at the 4th convocation of the institution on Wednesday.

The governor was represented at the occasion by his Special Adviser on Education, Mr. Tokunbo Wahab.

He said the school was critical to the success of the education policy of the state and required support.

He stated that without doubt the school performed the important task of producing teachers who would be charged with the responsibility of providing a solid foundation for children at the primary level.

He also urged the graduands to see the certificates awarded as a symbol of communal trust in them, to inspire the next generation of leaders in Lagos State in particular and Nigeria in general.

“I commend your patience, your dedication and hard work and I congratulate you on this laudable feat.

“However, as you return to the society, I want you to think of how you can reinvest the skill you have acquired here into making the society a better place,” he said.

The governor congratulated the governing council, the provost and the school in general on the occasion of the convocation.
