MOCPED Provost, Onibon receives Ghana/Nigeria youth award

The Provost, Michael Otedola College of Primary Education, Noforija, Epe, Lagos State, Dr. Nosiru Olajide Onibon, has been awarded the Most Effective Head of Institution by the Ghana/Nigeria Youth Award.

The award was presented to him at the sixth edition of Ghana/Nigeria Youth Summit held on Thursday April 25, 2019 in Ghana.

The theme of the summit is: A Prosperous and United West Africa: The Need for a Continuous Positive Relationship between Ghana and Nigeria.

While presenting the award to him, Comrade Barry Ndu, the convener of the programme, said that Dr. Onibon was nominated for the award after going through his achievements in the last one year.

According to Ndu, Dr Onibon had played a vital role in creating a peaceful atmosphere in the college, and had displayed passion for humanity and love for his people.

The convener further stated that the college was able to get full accreditation for all its programmes as well as the institution.

He said the school was at present enjoying peace and security with the open door policy of the provost.

While reacting to the award, Dr. Onibon expressed his delight to the organisers for being able to recognise his achievements in the college.

He further reiterated that he was able to achieve much due to the co-operation received from the college community and the Lagos State government.

He however solicited further support from members of staff and promised to continue his open door policy in order to take the college to an enviable height.
