The provost of Michael Otedola College of Primary Education, Associate Professor Nosiru Olajide Onibon, has been inaugurated as a sectoral member of the World Bank-sponsored African Centre of Excellence for Innovative and Transformative STEM Education, ACEITSE.
The inauguration took place on Wednesday, February 5, 2020.
Professor Peter Okebukola, former Executive Secretary of the National Universities Commission, NUC, is also a member of the prestigious programme.
The programme addresses specific regional development challenges, primarily relying upon the following priorities – Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM), Health Sciences, Agricultural Sciences, Environment and Applied Sciences.
It would be recalled that earlier in 2019, Onibon was nominated into the membership of the Governing Council of Fountain University, Oshogbo.
In the two years of his assumption as Provost of MOCPED, he has had quite a number of achievements under his belt.
The college community, in a statement, on Thursday congratulated the provost, describing his achievement as huge.
