MOCPED calls for discipline, matriculates 2018/2019 regular degree students

Michael Otedola College of Primary Education, MOCPED, in conjunction with the University of Ibadan, marks the formal admission of 3, 057 fresh students in a matriculation ceremony held at the college’s multipurpose on Thursday.

The Provost, Dr. Nosiru Olajide Onibon, in his address of welcome, delivered by Mr. Joseph Opeolu Ogunniyi, advised the students to be of good behaviour and avoid anything that would tarnish their image.

According to him, they should shun cultism, hooliganism, gangsterism, examination malpractices and all forms of criminality.

He added that they should respect constituted authorities of MOCPED and be guided by the established regulations of the school.

While commending the different sections of the school for the peace enjoyed in the community, Dr. Onibon asked for the unflinching support and cooperation to uphold the peaceful co-existence with the students in the interest of the overall development of the immediate communities and the state.

The Vice Chancellor, University of Ibadan, Prof. A. I. Olayinka, represented by the Director, Directorate of Affiliated Institution, Prof. M. K. Akinsola, in his address, felicitated with the college’s management on the success recorded so far.

He implored the new MOCPED students to obey the rules which were in place for their good as the university would not in any way shirk its responsibility to produce highly disciplined and responsible students.

He said the school was one of the agents of socialisation which gave one the most auspicious avenue to inculcate the right societal values and norms
