The Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Khadija Bukar Abba-Ibrahim, has resigned.
She announced the resignation of her appointment on Wednesday when speaking with State House Correspondents at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The decision, she said, was to enable her contest for the House of Representatives seat of Damaturu/Tarmuwa/Gujba/Gulani Federal Constituency of Yobe State in the coming election.
It would be recalled she is the All Progressives Congress, APC, candidate for the election having won the primaries in October.
She was appointed minister in 2015 by President Muhammadu Buhari.
