Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, MAPOLY, Abeokuta, Ogun State, has expressed its condolence over the death of the Chief Imam of Egbaland, Ogun State, Alhaji Liadi Ayinde Orunsolu.
Orunsolu died on Tuesday at the age of 98.
The Acting Rector of MAPOLY, Dr Adeoye Odedeji, in the condolence message issued by the Head, Public Relations and Protocol, MAPOLY, Mr. Yemi Ajibola, on behalf of the management of the institution, described the late Orunsolu as a peace loving man who lived a qualitative life in the service of Allah.
He commiserated with Ogun State Government, League of Imam and Alfas as well as MAPOLY Muslim Community, praying that Allah will give Abeokuta and the entire Ogun State the fortitude to bear the loss.
The Rector said the late President-General of League of Imams and Alfas in Ogun State has lived a worthy and exemplary life.
“May the Lord preserve his children and other family members,” he prayed.
