The police have arrested one Kazeem Mustapha for allegedly stabbing to death, one 33 years old Afeez Oluwole, following a misunderstanding over N500.
The case was reported to the police by one Rafiu Dauda who claimed that the deceased was his apprentice.
The statement by the spokesman of the Lagos State Police Command, DSP Bala Elkana, announcing the arrest reads: “On 25/02/2020 at about 1230hrs, one Rafiu Dauda ‘m’ of No 36 Alebiosu Street Ijegun, Satellite town reported at Elemoro Police Station that his apprentice Afeez Oluwole ‘m’ 33yrs old was stabbed on the right chest with broken bottle by one Kazeem Mustapha ‘m’ along Madoti Estate Fin-Niger, Satellite town, due to a minor misunderstanding over N500.
“Afeez Oluwole ‘m’ was rushed to Holy Family Hospital where he later died. The corpse was deposited at the mortuary for postmortem examination.
“The suspect has been arrested.
“He will be charged to court.”
