One 45 years old Christopher Lament has been arrested by the police for attempting to kill his wife, Comfort Christopher, with a knife.
The arrest was effected by operatives of Bariga Police Station at 23 Jossy Castro Street, Lagos, following a distress call on February 2, 2020.
The knife was recovered and registered as exhibit.
The two who are from Akwa Ibom State were said to be married for 13 years and blessed with two children, aged 11 and 9.
According to the spokesman of the Lagos Police Command, Mr. Bala Elkana, in a statement, the suspect lost his banking job five years ago and the woman is also not employed.
The police said the event that led to the attempt made by the suspect to stab his wife a knife, started with a “mere argument.”
Investigation is said to be ongoing and the suspect, the police said, would be charged to court.
