Efforts are ongoing by the police to perfect the extradition process of former chairman of the Pension Reform Task Team, Abdulrasheed Abdullahi Maina, from Niamey, Niger Republic.
Maina who is standing trial over alleged fraud case was declared wanted following his refusal to appear in court.
He was, however, arrested in Niger Republic on November 30 and detained.
His arrest was made possible through the collaborative efforts of the operatives of the Nigeria Police Force, INTERPOL NCB, Abuja and their Nigerien counterpart.
The Public Relations Officer of the Nigeria Police Force, Frank Mba, in a statement issued on Tuesday, said Maina would be made to face trial in the pending case against upon his extradition.
Mba said there would be no hiding place for any suspect, no matter how highly placed.
