President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the federal government team to engage Twitter over the suspension of its service in Nigeria.
The Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, made this known on Tuesday in a statement issued in Abuja.
It would be recalled that the operations of the micro-blogging and social networking service was suspended in Nigeria by the federal government following alleged plot to destabilize the country.
In view of the suspension, Twitter wrote to the president for a meeting to resolve the crisis.
The team to engage Twitter has Lai Mohammed as the chairman.
Also in the team are the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice; Minister of Communications and Digital Economy; Minister of Foreign Affairs; Minister of Works and Housing; Minister of State for Labour and Employment as well as other relevant government agencies.
