Security and traffic agencies in Lagos State on Friday agreed on a multiple agencies collaboration to stem the gridlock that has characterised traffic in Lagos State.
The agreement was reached at a meeting held at the instance of the Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu.
At the meeting, the personnel of the agencies were also warned against violating traffic rules.
The meeting was a follow up to the emergency meeting the CP had with Area Commanders, Area Operations Officers, State Traffic Officer and Divisional Traffic Officers on traffic management and control.
In attendance, according to the spokesman of the Lagos Police Command, DSP Bala Elkana, were representatives of the Nigerian Army, Air Force, Navy, DSS, NSCDC, FRSC, LASTMA and LNSC.
