The All Progressives Congress, APC, candidate in the Lagos State governorship election held on Saturday, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has been declared winner.
The Returning Officer, Eyitope Ogunbodede, announced the outcome of the election at the collation centre in the state.
His closest rival is Peoples Democratic Party’s candidate, Mr. Jimi Agbaje.
Sanwo-Olu recorded 739,445 votes to defeat Agbaje who recorded 206,141 votes.
He will succeed Governor Akinwunmi Ambode.
