Lagos: Govt appoints Abdul Lateef Abdul Hakeem as Amiru-ul Hajj

Former Lagos State Commissioner for Home Affairs, Dr. Abdul Lateef Abdul Hakeem, has been appointed as the state’s 2019 Amir-ul Hajj by Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-olu.

This appointment was confirmed on Monday by  the government which issued a directive to that effect.

According to the statement, the former commissioner, Abdul Hakeem, was appointed based on his past record of achievements during his tenure as the Commissioner for Home Affairs and Amir-ul Hajj of Lagos State.

The governor urged the newly appointed Amir-ul Hajj to sustain his past records and ensure that he took the Lagos State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board to a greater height.
