The 1982 set of the Old Students Association of Lagos Baptist Secondary School, LABASCO, Orile Agege, Lagos, has inaugurated a block of seven classrooms in the School II of their alma mater.
The old students also provided 12 magnetic white boards for classrooms.
The inauguration held on Saturday is part of the activities kick-starting the grand finale of the 40 anniversary of the association.
Present at the occasion were members of the old students association, the current principal of the school, Mrs. Familoye; principal of the School I, Mrs Sofola, and some current students of the school.
The cutting of the tape was carried out by the chairman of the anniversary committee of the old students association, Mr. Kunle Ojeikere, and supported by other members present.
Speaking at the brief occasion, Ojeikere, on behalf of the association thanked the school for the opportunity to give back to it.
He said the association had felt more challenged and would do more for the school.
The senior prefect of the set, Mr. Sunday Salako, who also spoke on the occasion, gave assurance that the old students would increase their contributions to making the school better than it was.
The principal of the school, Mrs, Familoye, speaking earlier, expressed gratitude to the old students, and described their intervention as a blessing to the school.
He urged them to do more saying the school was in a not-too-good state and needed assistance.
She prayed to God to decorate the lives of every member of the association with good things.
