The National Deputy Secretary of the People Democratic Party, PDP, Hon. Setonji Koshoedo, has congratulated Engr. Seyi Makinde on his re-election as Oyo State governor.
In a statement on Monday, Koshoedo said the victory had shown that “when a man is diligent in his works, his work will not only speak for him, but he shall be counted among the great and not as mere men.”
He said as a great and inspirational leader, Makinde never gave up the fight for what he believed in, even if it costs him a fortune.
The PDP Deputy National Secretary said there was no doubt that God had imbued Makinde with the required temperament, wisdom and knowledge that culminated in his performance as governor to the people of Oyo State.
He added that his current victory was undoubtedly a testimonial to not only his performance in this first term but a resounding acknowledgement and acceptance of the governor’s display of love and concern for the welfare of the people of Oyo State and the South West at large.
Koshoedo, while reassuring the governor of his continuous respect and regards, also assured him that he and other well-meaning members of PDP Lagos State were excited about his victory and prayed that God should give him the requisite wisdom and good health to see him through his second term to record greater performance for Oyo State and beyond.
