A Federal Capital Territory, FCT, High Court has suspended Adams Oshiomhole as the national chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.

The suspension is to remain pending the determination of a substantive suit.

The suspension order was given by Justice Danlami Senchi on Wednesday following an application to that effect by one Oluwale Afolabi.

Afolabi in his application argued that Oshiomhole had no claim to the chairmanship of the party since he had been suspended as a member of the party at the state level.

Oshiomhole, it would be recalled, was suspended by the party’s state chapter, a development which ignited the fire of crisis in the party.

Announcing his suspension, the court declared that Oshiomhole should stop carrying on as the chairman of the APC.

It also directed that Oshiomhole should not be allowed access to the secretariat of the party.
