A 43 years old bus driver identified as Kabiru Bello has committed suicide in Lagos, drinking a liquid substance suspected to be Sniper.
Bello was of 77 Owode Ibeshe, Ikorodu area of Lagos State.
He was said to have drank the Sniper which was in his Volkswagen commercial bus with registration number AKD 724 XM, while at a mechanic workshop at Ladylack Bus stop, Shomolu, on Saturday.
According to Bala Elkana, Lagos State Police Command, spokesman, in a statement made available to FrontPage, he said the bus driver was rushed to Adesola Clinic, Shomolu where he was confirmed dead.
“Homicide detectives visited the scene. One empty bottle of chemical substances suspected to be Sniper was recovered. The corpse has been deposited in mortuary for autopsy,” the police officer said.
