No fewer than twelve people have been injured in a building collapse at K Farm, Fagba, Off Iju Road, Lagos State.
The incident occurred midnight Wednesday.
No death was recorded.
Confirming the building collapse, the Chief Executive Officer of Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, Dr. Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, said the victims had been evacuated and had been responding to treatment.
He disclosed that the three storey building would be totally pulled down to ensure safety of the people around.
He stated that all the buildings adjacent and beside the collapsed building would be subjected to solid material testing.
His words: “The people there have been evacuated and the injured are responding to treatment.
“No mortalities recorded. All the key stakeholders that are important in managing disaster in Lagos are on ground.
“However the building will be pulled to ground zero for safety of the people living in the area.
“All the buildings adjacent/beside the collapsed building will be subjected to solid material testing.”
