The authorities of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta, Ogun State, have expressed profound gratitude to the state governor, Dapo Abiodun, for his support to invigorate the institution.

The significance of the government’s gesture was highlighted in appreciation letters conveyed by the Governing Council chairman, Professor Kamaldeen Balogun, for graciously providing solutions to various challenges surrounding the Institution.

According to the Head, Public Relations and Protocol, Mr. ‘Yemi Ajibola, in a statement made available to FrontPage, recently, a team of engineers on the instruction of the governor visited the Polytechnic to ascertain the challenges surrounding the smooth flow of water for immediate rectification.

Similarly, the institution has taken delivery of a 500KVA Transformer donated by the governor to alleviate the long-standing issues of inadequate power supply.

Earlier after the rehabilitation of the Oloke-MAPOLY road a few months ago, the Governing Council chairman commended the government and promised continuous cooperation and unalloyed support to the “Building our Future Together” agenda.

The letter reads: “I write on behalf of the Governing Council, Management, Staff and Students of the Polytechnic to sincerely appreciate your Excellency for the rehabilitation of Iyana-Oloke road to the Polytechnic’s gate.”

This singular effort is symbolic of resuscitating positive interest in the Polytechnic’s education standards, which will also rejuvenate a smooth business ecosystem.

He added: “The rehabilitation of the road is a clear testimony of the government’s commitment to making life meaningful to the Polytechnic’s public and by extension to the good people of Ogun State.”

He added that that was a fulfilment of promises made and a pure demonstration of the administration’s readiness to continue supporting education in all areas.

He disclosed that some of the issues presented at the stakeholders’ meeting recently held with the state governor were being addressed.

While applauding the government, Prof. Balogun, on behalf of the Council and Management, also commended members of staff and students for their resilience, doggedness and hopefulness towards restoring the glorious status of the polytechnic.
