Former governor of Imo State, Rochas Okorocha, has been arrested by the police following his forceful reopening of the Royal Spring Palm Apartment which was sealed by the state government.
Arrested along with Okorocha were Ijeoma Igboanusi who was the Deputy Chief of Staff (Domestic) and former Commissioner for Transportation in Okorocha’s government, Lasbrey Okafor-Anyanwu.
Rochas Okorocha who was said to have been accompanied by his son-in-law, Uche Nwosu, and others, broke the keys to recover the property said to belong to Nkechi, Okorocha’s wife.
The state government had, on Friday, recovered the apartment along Akachi Road.
The forceful re-opening was against the seizure of the property on Friday by the government following the directive of the Imo State gazette on the report of the Judicial Commission of Enquiry on recovery of lands and other related matters.
