The Imo State government has received two motorized modulator fumigators towards the COVID-19 free Nigeria donated by the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II.
Receiving the donation on behalf of the Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodimma, the Deputy Chief of Staff (Operations), Government House, Emeka Agbo, thanked Ooni of Ife for including Imo State in the list of those benefitting from the motorized modulator fumigators.
He recalled the relationship between the Ooni and Uzodimma as an individual and Imo State in general, which he said had lasted many years.
He said he was not surprised that such donation came from the first class monarch.
He promised that the fumigators would be put to proper use, bearing in mind the essence and importance attached to it, which is the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic that is ravaging the whole world.
Agbo fervently thanked the Ooni of Ife, on behalf of the governor and the state, and prayed God to grant him many more years of good health and wisdom in his reign over his people.
Earlier in their presentation, the representative of the Oni of Ife, Princess Kemi Fadojutimi, said that the donation was the contribution of the Ooni towards the fight against the coronavirus pandemic in Nigeria.
She expressed the confidence of the Ooni of Ife in the person of Uzodimma, assuring that, from the much he knew of him, Imo was blessed with a man of honesty who would deliver the state to a prosperous level.
She thanked the state for giving them the opportunity to come and make the donation.
The Deputy Chief of Staff was accompanied in receiving the donation by the Chief Press Secretary/Media Adviser to the Governor, Mr. Oguwike Nwachuku, the S.A. to the Governor on Security, CP Dan Okoro (rtd), and the Chief of Staff to the Deputy Governor of Imo State, Rev. Chidi Nwanegbo.
