The national leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, on Monday described President Olusegun Obasanjo as suffering from senility.

He therefore called on Nigerian not to believe anything he might have said.

Tinubu made the remark during the Muhammadu Buhari’s presidential re-election campaign held in Maiduguri.

He was reacting to the open letter by Obasanjo casting aspersion on the person of the president.

Among other things, Obasanjo in the 16-page letter said Buhari had returned the nation to the dictatorial era of Gen. Sani Abacha.

He also expressed doubt that the present government would be able to conduct a free and fair election next month.

But addressing the crowd at the rally in Maiduguri, Tinubu said Obasanjo was due for retirement in his Ota farm, Ogun State.

He said he had expired.

“You can hear the other expired leaders like Obasanjo, ranting and lying. Don’t believe him, don’t trust him. He is expired.

“With the sign of senility experienced by our dear brother, Uncle Obasanjo, I think Ota should be enough a retirement place to keep quiet.”

He said Obasanjo had expired and could not be trusted.

It would be recalled that Buhari had, in a reply to the attack on him, declared that Obasanjo needed the attention of a medical doctor.

He said he was sending him a “get well soon” message.

Buhari, in a statement issued by his media aide, Mallam Garba Shehu, also described Obasanjo as a 90 years old liar.

The president also described as false, all the allegations by the former president.
