Members of Ibrede Community of Ndokwa East Local Government of Delta State, resident in Lagos, will hold their annual Ibrede Day in Lagos tomorrow.
The occasion is to promote unity, love, peace and mutual co-existence said to be natural with sons and daughters of Ibrede.
The occasion was announced by Howard Daferede and Charles Ighogbefa, both members of the community, in a statement issued on Friday.
The event, according to the members, would be held at the Basketball Court, Navy Barracks, behind Federal Government Press, Ajegunle, Apapa, Lagos.
The event will kick off at 12 noon.
The statement reads in part: “All sons and daughters of Ibrede community in Lagos and its environs shall converge as one indivisible people with one language and tradition to celebrate her cultural heritage.
“Ibrede Day is a day to consolidate on the peace recently attained after the war that tore the community apart for a period of five years .
“It is believed that the event will bring back the unity, love, peace and mutual co-existence natural with the sons and daughters of the community.”
