Former Military Administrator of Lagos State, Buba Marwa, on Thursday was saved from being attacked by some angry youths during the presidential campaign rally of President Muhammadu Buhari in Adamawa State.
Buba Marwa, who addressed the crowd at the campaign in Hausa was said to have cast aspersion on Governor of Adamawa State, Mohammed Bindow, thus bringing about the anger of the youths.
It took the efforts of security operatives attached to the president to save him.
The president who appealed to the youths to remain calm was said to have ordered that Marwa should be taken away from the campaign venue – Ribadu Square, Yola.
Marwa and the governor, it would be recalled belong to two different factions of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the state.
Marwa belongs to the Mahmood Halilu faction of the party while Bindow is in another.
The Halilu faction lost the contest for the governorship ticket to Bindow’s.
The rivalry between the two factions has been uneceasing.
