Seun Kuti, Afrobeat musician and son of the late Afrobeat king, Fela Anikulapo Kuti, is billed to perform at the premiere ceremony of the Grammy Awards in the US.
Billed to hold on February 10, 2019, the award is the 61st edition.
Seun Kuti gave a hint about his performance on his Instagram page, @bigbirdkuti.
Kuti it would be recalled has been nominated for award at the event which will hold at the Staples Centre in Los Angeles.
He will be competing in the Best World Music Album category.
His nomination is for his album, “Black Times” which was released on March 2, 2018.
His performance will be available online.
The host of the award is popular American singer, Alicia Keys.
Seun’s brother, Femi, had been nominated for Grammy Awards on four different occasions.
He was nominated in 2003, 2010, 2012 and 2013.
