Leading general interest online newspaper, FrontPage, has described the death of Mr. Michael Awe, whose pen name is Michael West, as a great loss.

Michael Awe, whose column is published in FrontPage and other newspapers every Friday died in an auto crash on Saturday.

In a statement by its Managing Director/Editor-In-Chief, Mr. Sakibu Olokojobi, the online newspaper said the sudden death of the prolific writer was a rude shock.

The newspaper described his weekly column as a great service to humanity as it was largely problem-solving for individuals and the society.

The great readership the writer enjoyed, the newspapers said, was an attestation to the relevance and effectiveness of his counseling, particularly on marital issues and relationships in general.

“Without doubt, his weekly column has helped to sustain the marriage institution and provided solutions to issues generally bordering on relationships,” the statement reads in part.

While declaring that Michael Awe would be sorely missed by his numerous readers, the newspaper commiserated with his family, friends and associates.

It also prayed for the repose of the soul of the deceased.
