Veteran filmmaker, Mr. Matthew Simpa, is training physically challenged persons in film production in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
The charity project is being executed with the Abeokuta chapter of the National Association of the Physically Challenged People in Ogun State.
The training which will feature other top filmmakers like Ralph Niyi Stevens and Daniel Ope Makinde is expected to be a week-long exercise.
It is expected that the participants will produce a movie during the training programme.
In February this year, Simpa helped conduct a video production training programme in Idiroko.
The event, a charity programme too, was held to support Ms. Modupe Botoku, a lady came to limelight in the 1990s.
Earlier in the same month, he had delivered a lecture in video editing at the Valentine Give Away programme of the Creative Industry group.
“I love training people in the techniques of film/video production,” says Matthew Simpa who is also the General Manager of Ben Auto/Stedik Entertainment Ltd, a Lagos based outfit.
“I have lectured in two film schools in the past, so, I am bringing my wealth of experience on the field and in the classroom to bear on this training for the physically challenged people,” he added.
