Former Nigerian coach, Samson Siasia, has denied involvement in any corruption to warrant his being banned for life by the world football governing body, Federation of International Football Association, FIFA.

FIFA had on Friday alleged that Siasia was found guilty of corruption, having accepted that he would receive bribes in relation to the manipulation of matches in violation its Code of Ethics.

The ban is contained in a statement issued to that effect by FIFA.

But in a swift reaction, Samson Siasia, in a statement declared: “I don’t know anything about this. I did nothing wrong and I have not received any letter from FIFA.”

He said he was not contacted by FIFA to defend himself over any allegation.

He said he would take the necessary steps to clear his name of the corruption allegation.
