Fayemi, El-Rufai, Ooni, Olota, others for ‘The Voice’ anniversary awards

The chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum and governor of Ekiti State, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, his Kaduna State counterpart, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, the Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Adeyeye Oguwusi and the Olota of Ota, Oba Adeyemi Obalanlege, will grace the 10th edition of The Voice Magazine Awards and Lecture.

The event will hold on Thursday at the Gulfview Hotels & Suites, Ikeja, Lagos.

In a statement by Otunba Damilola Oladele, the Operational Director, Dama Media Concept, organisers of the event, Fayemi would chair the event while El-Rufai would be the guest speaker.

El-Rufai, Oladele said, would speak on “Restructuring, the only solution to Nigeria’s crisis.”

According to Otunba Oladele, the royal fathers expected to grace the occasion include the Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi; the Onilogbo of Ilogbo-Ota, Oba Samuel Olufemi Ojugbele; the Olota of Ota, Oba (Professor) Adeyemi Obalanlege; the Osile Oke-Ona Egba, Oba Adedapo Tejuosho and the Alake of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo.

Otunba Oladele further noted that the awards committee was painstaking in choosing for the awards, those who had, through their chosen careers, made positive impacts on the Nigerian society.

Notable among the awardees, according to Otunba Oladele, are Chief Mike Ozekhome (SAN); Oba Obasoyin Ganiyu Ayodele; Mr. Kayode Taiwo; Mr. Kunle Somorin; Chief F. Gbolahan Akinmuda; Mr. Aanu Egbesola; High Chief (Engr) Patrick Anegbe; CSP Salabiu Jamiu and Dr. Wale Deinde.

Other awardees include Aare Surv. (Dr) Segun & Yeye Aare Olufunke Osifeso (FNIS); Oluwo Fasola Faniyi, SP. Adetayo Akerele; Mr. Babajide Kolade-Otitoju; Oba Abdullahi Toye; Baale Subair Ajani Taofeek; Oba (Dr) Adewumi Adeniji; Mr. Damilola Ojugbele; Baale Francis Femi Akinniyi; Barr Bayo Adesanya; Dr Gbenga Akinduro and Mr. Babatunde Odubanjo.

Otunba Oladele further explained that some distinguished personalities, which include Oba Samuel Olufemi Ojugbele; Oba Wasiu Ogungbayi; Otunba Olumide Akinbinu; Messrs Sola Ojutalayo SAN; Surv. Bunmi Odunuga (FNIS); Engr. J.T Adegboye (FNSE), Chief Adegoke Adeshina; ACM Kayode Olagunju, DCP Adegoke Fayoade, Mr. Kehinde Ojo and Aremo Bola Ojugbele, will be inducted into ‘The Voice Magazine Hall of Fame’ at the event for their supportive roles.
