The Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja has declared that Dr. Kayode Fayemi was duly elected as the Governor of Ekiti State.
This is as it dismissed the suit filed by the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, candidate in the Ekiti State governorship election, Olusola Kolapo.
Fayemi is of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
According to the three-man panel led by Steven Adah, the appeal by Kolapo lacked merit.
It said the tribunal’s declaration earlier that Fayemi was duly elected was in order.
