The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, presidential candidate in the last general election, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, and his party on Wednesday lost the appeal against the victory of President Muhammadu Buhari.
Buhari contested the presidential election on the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress.
The Supreme Court dismissed the appeal against Buhari.
The seven-man panel led by the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Tanko Muhammad said reasons for the verdict would be made public later.
One of the major case Atiku and his party had against Buhari was alleged lying on oath about his educational qualification.
He was also accused of alleged irregularities in the result of the election which saw him return to office for a second term.
