Election results: How Buhari, Atiku rule Lagos councils

President Muhammadu Buhari has defeated his closest rival, Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, in Lagos State with a wide margin in the general election held on Saturday.

In the result announced on Monday by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Buhari recorded 580,814 votes as against that of Atiku who recorded 448,016 votes.

The results show a difference of 132,798 votes.

The results which reflect where the candidates have the highest number of supporters show Buhari as having won in 15 local government areas while Atiku won in five.

The results in the local government areas are as shown below:
