Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Edgal Imohimi, has been removed from office.

He has been replaced with Kayode Egbetokun.

Egbetokun takes over as the Acting Commissioner of Police in Lagos State.

Imohimi, it was gathered, has been directed to be in charge of the Explosives and Ordinance Disposal Unit at the Force headquarters in Abuja.

The postings, it was gathered, were ahead of the 2019 general election.

Egbetokun has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from the University of Lagos.

He graduated in 1987.

He later enlisted into Nigeria Police Force.

He has MSC Engineering Analysis from the University of Lagos and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Petroleum Economics from Delta State University, Abraka, in 2000.

He has an MBA from Lagos State University, Ojo, 2004.
