The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has arrested the immediate past governor of Anambra State, Willie Obiano.
Obiano was arrested on Thursday at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, on his way to the United States of America.
He was reported to have been on the watch list of the anti-graft agency.
The spokesman of the EFCC, Mr. Wilson Uwujaren, was quoted as confirming the arrest.
He said the former governor was arrested at about 8.30 p.m.
His arrest was said to be in connection with the mismanagement of over N17bn Paris Club refund and security vote among others.
Recall that his successor, Charles Soludo, was sworn in on the same day he was arrested.
