Buhari presents party's flag to Ize-Iyamu

President Muhammadu Buhari, on Friday, endorsed the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Osagie Ize-Iyamu, for the September 19 Edo State governorship election.

The president presented the party’s flag to him at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

Ize-Iyamu was led to the Presidential Villa by the chairman of APC caretaker committee, Mai Mala Buni.

Buni is also the governor of Yobe State.

Also present were the governor of Kano State, Abdullahi Ganduje, and the governor of Kebbi State, Atiku Bagudu.

Ize-Iyamu who spoke with journalists shortly after the meeting with Buhari dismissed the report that a factional Speaker for the Edo State House of Assembly was elected in his house on Thursday.

His words: “Let me debunk the statement that 17 members of the state House of Assembly sat in my sitting room, it is not true.”
