A three-day diaspora technical exchange programme has started in London, United Kingdom.

The programme being sponsored by the International Centre for Migration Policy Development, ICMPD, has experts drawn from the African Foundation For Development, AFFORD, a UK based consulting organisation with firm bias on diaspora-related issues.

Meanwhile, delegates from the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, NIDCOM, drawn from key departments and units are attending the programme to upscale skills and competences in understanding key global concepts of Diaspora, Migration and Development Policy among others.

The key objective of the technical exchange programme is understanding of notable key global and regional policies that have direct bearing on Diaspora, migration and development.

The International Centre for Migration Policy Development, ICMPD, is an intergovernmental institution with legal status of an international organisation with a headquarters agreement with the Republic of Austria, Vietnam and a regional office in Abuja.
