Founder of DAAR Communication, owners of African Independent Television, AIT, Raymond Dokpesi, has been arrested.
He was arrested at about 4.00 p.m. at Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport, Abuja, on arrival from a medical trip abroad.
AIT made the announcement on its website, but the reason for his arrest was not made known.
It would be recalled that Dokpesi is standing trial over alleged involvement in corrupt practices during the reign of former president, Goodluck Jonathan.
He was said to have illegally received N2.1 billion from the Office of the National Security Addviser (NSA) for the media campaign of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, ahead of the 2015 election.
