COVID-19 case update

The number of cases of coronavirus in Nigeria rose to 210 on Friday as 20 fresh new cases were confirmed.

The announcement of the increase was made just as two deaths arising from coronavirus were confirmed.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, made the announcements on its Twitter handle, @NCDCgov.

11 of the new cases were in Lagos; three in Abuja, three in Edo, two in Osun and one in Ondo.

It was the first case in Ondo State.

The deaths were recorded in Lagos and Edo states

The tweets read:

“Twenty new cases of #COVID19 have been reported in Nigeria; 11 in Lagos, 3 in the FCT, 3 in Edo, 2 in Osun & 1 in Ondo

“Two new deaths have been recorded in Lagos and Edo State

“As at 10:30 pm 3rd April there are 210 confirmed cases of #COVID19 reported in Nigeria.”
