The Senator representing Oyo Central Senatorial District, Senator Teslim Folarin, has announced his plans to distribute N5 million cash palliatives to the people of his Senatorial District to cushion the effects of the lockdown caused by the on-going fight against spread of coronavirus .
The former Senate Leader, Folarin, in a statement made available in Ibadan, said he had raised a two-man committee comprising Mr. Biliaminu Oyedele from Egbeda local government and Mr. Akeem Olatunji, to handle the distribution of the palliatives including food items to the people of the senatorial district.
The statement said the committee would handle the distribution of the food items worth millions of naira to the people across the 117 wards in the senatorial district.
It added that special arrangements were in place for the six local governments from Ibadanland, stating that the gesture was part of efforts of Folarin towards alleviating the sufferings of the people in the senatorial district and the state at large in its trying period.
