Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State has tested positive for coronavirus and is already in self-isolation.
The governor made this known on Tuesday on his Twitter handle.
He said he was however not displaying any symptoms.
His tweet reads: “Today I tested positive for #COVID19. All is well. I’m asymptomatic and have been self isolating. Work continues. Your continued prayers over my well being are most appreciated.”
Other governors that had contracted the disease are Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State; Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State; Seyi Makinde of Oyo State and Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State.
