The astronomical increase in the number of coronavirus cases recorded in Nigeria continued on Wednesday with the latest being 1,664 in a day.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control released the figure on Wednesday on its Twitter handle.
Lagos maintains its lead with 642 new cases while the Federal Capital Territory is second with 407 new cases.
The total number of cases has now risen to 94, 369
