COVID-19: Nigeria records 245 cases in a day, raising total to 2,802

The number of coronavirus cases in Nigeria increased to 2,802 on Monday with 245 new ones recorded.

The figure recorded on Monday is the highest so far in a day and Lagos has the highest number of 76.

Katsina came second with 37 cases.

The announcement was made by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, on its Twitter handle.

The tweets read:

“2802 confirmed cases of #COVID19 in Nigeria

Discharged: 417

Deaths: 93

“Nine cases previously announced as discharged cases, were reported in error. Therefore, there are 417 cases that have been discharged.

“One case reported in Nasarawa was a repeat test. The state has a total of 11 confirmed cases.”
