Lagos State witnessed an astronomical increase in number of coronavirus cases with a daily figure of 1,040 on Saturday.
The figure forms part of the total of 1,883 new cases for the day, bringing the total in the country to 130,557.
The figures were released on Saturday by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, on its Twitter handle.
