Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State on Sunday said he had tested negative for coronavirus and would resume work on Monday.
Makinde made this known on his Twitter handle.
It would be recalled that he had on March 30 announced testing positive to coronavirus via his Twitter handle.
He had since gone into self isolation.
The tweets announcing his current status read: “I am deeply moved by your prayers and support throughout this period. I am so thankful. This evening, I received my second negative test result for COVID-19. I especially thank Prof Temitope Alonge, who acted in my stead as Head of the Oyo State COVID-19 Task Force.
“I am also grateful to all members of the Task Force for their cooperation during this time. I will be resuming my responsibility as Head of the Task Force from tomorrow.”
Makinde was among the three governors who had tested positive for coronavirus.
The two others are Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State and Mallam Nasir el-Rufai of Kaduna State.
