Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State has tested negative for coronavirus.
The governor announced his new status on Saturday on his Twitter handle.
He said the result of his test came negative after 11 days in isolation.
His words: “After 11 days in isolation, I received news that my COVID-19 repeat test came back negative.
“My sincere gratitude goes to God Almighty, my family, my medical team and all well wishers for the prayers and solidarity.
“We must continue to do all we can to tackle the pandemic.”
It would be recalled that Fayemi announced testing positive for coronavirus on July 22 on his Twitter handle.
He announced too that he had since proceeded on isolation.
