COVID-19: Corps member donates face masks to Kwara community

A member of the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, Aishat Ogundimu, has donated over 2000 face masks to Fajeromi Community in Ilorin South local government area, Kwara State.

She described the effort as her contribution to the battle against the continued spread of coronavirus in Kwara State.

Ogundimu who is undergoing her one year national service in the state said: “It is part of my personal community development service project which is aimed at combating the spread of COVID-19 in this area.”

While taking delivery of the nose masks, the community head, Mr Kasali Olatunde, applauded the kind initiative of the corps member and promised that his community members would join forces in fighting the pandemic to a standstill.

Meanwhile, the State Coordinator, NYSC, Kwara State, Mrs Francisca Olaleye had earlier appreciated the efforts of the corps member and urged the members of the community to reciprocate the effort of the corps member by making use of the face masks as a preventive measure against the deadly pandemic.

At the event were health officials who further sensitised the people on the correct ways to make use of the face masks.
