The list of countries affected by the travel ban imposed by Nigeria in the wake of coronavirus has increased by two.

The action is to prevent the spread of the disease in the country.

The new countries on the list are Sweden and Austria.

The Minister of Health, Osagie Ehanire, made this known while addressing journalists in Abuja on Friday.

It would be recalled that the federal government had declared that the countries affected by the ban were those with over 1,000 cases domestically.

13 countries earlier affected are China, Italy, Iran, South Korea, Spain, Japan, France, Germany, Norway, the United States of America, the United Kingdom, Netherlands and Switzerland.

The travel ban will commence on Saturday.
