The founder of Omega Power Ministries, OPM, Apostle Chibuzor Gift Chinyere, in collaboration with a tour broking firm, UfitFly, will on Tuesday distribute relief materials to 500 people in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.

The effort is to cushion the effects of the partial lockdown imposed by the government to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

A release issued and signed by the team leader of UfitFly, Evangelist Ajibola Ogunkeyede, said the scheme tagged, Covid-19 Stay at Home Order Relief-Packages, was being funded by Apostle Chinyere, the General Overseer of OPM.

The statement read, “We are pleased to inform the general public that there will be a distribution of ‘Covid-19 Stay at Home Order Relief-Packages’ courtesy of Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere of the famous Omega Power Ministry (OPM) aka Dr Jesus in action in conjuction with UfitFly, on Tuesday 7th April, 2020 at the UfitFly Success House @ Block 8, Plot 15, Beside Animal Care, off 7up Road, Oluyole, Ibadan by 9 a.m. prompt.

“We came up with this as a result of cries of many people, especially the commoners that remain indoors and sought for relief materials to survive the period. This is the time to show compassion to fellow human beings irrespective of colour or ethnicity for Nigerians to defeat a common enemy which is the deadly covid-19 pandemic.”

Ogunkeyede added that the scheme was strictly for the less-previleged in the society such as orphans, widows, single parents, homeless and unemployed, among others.

“Sharing of relief materials to the less-privileged is a tradition in many faith organisations and such things are shared without discriminating against any beneficiary. Whether Christian or Muslim, even pagan, is immaterial in the distribution of relief materials”, he said.

He stated further that the Oyo State government and law enforcements agents had been duly informed while social distancing would be applied as advised by the relevant authorities.
