Lagos State governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu has appealed to the people of Lagos State to remain calm despite the cash crunch which has brought untold hardship to them.

He assured them that the government was doing everything possible to bring the situation under control.

According to him, the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, had promised to put measures in place to ensure residents had access to currency notes released to banks.

The appeal is contained in a statement by the state’s Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr. Gbenga Omotoso.

“Mr. Sanwo-Olu urges residents to remain calm as the government is doing everything possible to normalise the situation. The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has promised to put measures in place to ensure residents have access to currency notes released to banks.”
