Buhari receives Bawa at Presidential Villa

President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday received the new chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes, Commission, EFCC, Mr. Abdulrasheed Bawa at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

The event came a day after Bawa was confirmed by the Senate on the recommendation of President Buhari.

Buhari nominated Bawa for the post on February 15 and was screened for about two hours before he was confirmed on Wednesday by the Senate.

Until his current appointment, 40 years old Bawa was the Lagos Zonal Head of the EFCC.

Speaking on his appointment, Bawa said his appointment had given much hope to the youths of the country, adding that he would represent them adequately.

the new EFCC boss described as untrue, the widespread allegation that he sold assets recovered by the commission.
